5 WAYS TO BE A GOOD HOST AT YOUR BOOTH

While an inviting, eye catching booth and cool swag will help you gain exposure at the event. The true key to success is in the people representing your brand. Personable, caring, helpful people will do a lot more for your business than a branded mug ever will.

  • Staff your booth with your best team members. Choose those with outgoing personalities who will enjoy speaking with new people.

  • Bring enough staff to allow for frequent breaks. It is important to have employees fresh and energetic throughout the event.

  • Step out of the booth and engage people in the aisle.

  • Remember this is your chance to let your customers put a face with your brand and to start building trust. Be genuine and helpful in your conversations. Ditch the cheesy sales pitch.

  • Start a conversation with an open-ended question. “What brings you to the show?” “How is the expo going for you so far?” “Would you like to sit down for a moment and have a snack?” “Which training sessions have you enjoyed so far?”

HANDS ON TIP: Don’t overlook networking opportunities while on break, standing in line for food, or with staff at other booths.
